WEEK FIVE (CCM)

* Last week in the CCM *
So this week just flew by and I can not even believe it!!! I can not wait to get to my mission and start helping people with the Spanish that I know!! I hope that the more I speak by teaching the better I will get with the language.
So to start off I am going to answer some questions that dad and mom had for me!
Dad, The dark haired hermana is the one that is going to Fort Worth with me and Elder Lakey.
The other Elders are going to Riverside California and Tallahassee Florida. And they are from Idaho, Orem, Mesa Arizona, and the hermana that is going to Texas is from California.
Mom, I am loving every moment I am having here in the CCM, but I am so ready to get outside these walls! The food is good, but it is getting old because it seems like everyday we eat the exact same meal, and for breakfast all they serve is sandwiches and it just isn´t right! Also, I may call at the airport if I have time, but where I do not have a connecting flight at all I may not have time. Hopefully when I arrive in Texas I will have a chance to email. Also I tried to get some pesos off of my card today and i put in the incorrect pin 3 times so It wont let me get any money, so if you could let the bank know. But don´t worry I do remember the right one know.
I am so excited for all of my friends that are making the decision to go out  and serve the Lord, but I am mostly proud of Kelci and Ryan. I am so excited that they get to start the journey that I have started. My advice is when you have a bad day unpack your bags and make home be wherever you are, because there are hard days, but the good days always overrule the bad. Do not give up, because the work is not for you, but for your Brothers and Sisters who do not have what you have. I love both of you so much and can not wait to get back after the mission and talk about the great times we had!
So this week I felt like I really picked up on the language, and I will send a picture that shows you what I did one evening while Elder Lakey was sleeping because of being sick. I have been studying hard, but know I can do tons better to be the best I can be.
I don´t have a lot to say, but I do want to say sorry to those who had Birthdays in the family that I did not tell. Tyson, Aunt Janet, Aunt Mickie, Ellie, Clarisa, Uncle Troy, Uncle Chai, Jessica, Aunt Shirley, Uncle Pat, and Aunt Karri. ¡Feliz Cumpleaños! ¡Yo espero que ustedes tengan un buen dia!
I am so grateful for the friends and family that I have, and am grateful for your examples to me. If I do not have time to email or write those of you who have written me, I am so sorry and will try on the flight to Texas.
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

WEEK FOUR (CCM)

Wow what a fast and crazy week I have had! This week we had so many opportunities to give service and meet know missionaries and It was so fun!
So last p-day after I emailed me and my companion, along with so many other missionaries played soccer for like close to 3 hours and I probably should not have done that because that night I could not keep my eyes open during the Devotional. The next day our district did a language fast where we could only speak Spanish! It was really hard for me, but it helped a lot for the fact that I cant stop saying Spanish words now! My mind has definitely been changing into Spanish mode!
I also got Elder Lakey to join the choir with me, so we sing in a meetings once a week and we are singing tonight in a meeting as well. Tuesdays and Sundays are definitely the best week because they are full of so many spiritual meetings and movies that I get so much out of. Please family and fiends, do not forget that every member is a missionary!
Also this week Elder Lakey and I had the opportunity to teach a real investigator her first lesson. She was 16 and very scared, but as we got to know and love her we got her to pray with us and then the sisters in our district taught her second and got her to commit to baptism!! I am so excited for the decision that she has made and I pray for her every day!
This week the rain storms have been so crazy! We had a full day of just Lightning and Thunder and then another full day of hard rain, and days in between with just light rain! The weather is so perfect and everyone is so nice. That is the amazing thing about the gospel in the world.
So for the 4th of July everyone wore their red, white and blue ties and clothing and our meals were amazing! It was hard starting our fast that afternoon, but we started it right after we stood up and sang the national anthem in the Cafeteria with a very small flag. It made me realize how much I love my country even though we have struggles at times. Down here in Mexico there is a struggle everyday!
So Today I am emailing late because we had the opportunity to leave CCM grounds and go to the temple this morning. The temple is so big and the visitor center is probably the most elegant center I have ever seen! The feeling there was amazing, and while I was there I went to a little shop and bought a few gifts for the family!! I will try to get some stuff for everyone, because it is so cheap, but I may not be able too.
I hope everyone is getting their letters that sent me one and also Shauni and Shayli, I am not forgetting about your birthday! I got you both some gifts, but I cant send them until I get into the states! I love you all and thanks mom and Dad for the package!! Your support is what keeps me going everyday! I am praying for all of you!!
Con Amor,

Elder Spendlove
